More than 10 people are believed to have been killed after a taxi full of teachers and a truck collided head-on on the R521 in Limpopo on Tuesday morning.
According to Vongani Chauke, the spokesperson for Limpopo Transport and Community Safety MEC Florence Radzilani, the truck driver is among the deceased.
The exact number of deceased is unknown because many are still trapped in the taxi.
Chauke said the taxi was transporting teachers to a school.
Dendron Road in Ga-Hlahla, which is in the Polokwane Local Municipality, remains closed.
