EMER-G-MED paramedics attended a scene of a multi-vehicle pile-up, where three truck’s and nine cars have collided on the N1 South after New Road in Midrand earlier today 17/08/2016
On assessment paramedics found that one person sustained serious injuries that required Advanced Life Support care, while six others sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The patients were treated on-scene before being transported by EMER-G-MED and other services to various nearby hospitals.
The exact cause of the collision is unclear and will be investigated by the relevant authorities.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area, as there are HEAVY delays in both directions approaching the scene.
