Transnet Port Terminals website is down after it has allegedly been hacked. Reports from insiders who cannot be named because they are not allowed to speak to the media suggest that the cyber attack hit Transnet-wide.
This implies that all the companies under the state-run Transnet SOC Ltd have been affected.
Transnet SOC Ltd is a large South African rail, port and pipeline company making it the biggest logistics company in South Africa.
As at 07h58 when this reporter was verifying the information, all Transnet websites were down.
Transnet Port Terminals website was not reachable.



Other Transnet websites such as transnet.co.za and transnet.net were also not reachable.
Truck drivers stuck in Transnet Ports dotted around South Africa have reported no movement in all the ports.
