Motorists have been urged to avoid the N7 at Piekenierskloof pass as it is closed to traffic due to an accident between two trucks.
The two truck crash happened earlier on Sunday morning causing the closure of the road at Piekenierskloofpas.
The duration of the closure is not known since huge recovery work must be done before free traffic flow can be allowed.
Cargo from the two trucks is sprewn all over the highway hindering safe passage for all vehicles.

All road users are requested to use the alternative routes:
Please do not drive to the accident scene, you will be stuck there for a long time. And this put extra pressure on the first responders.
