A truck driver sadly lost his life in a horrific head-on collision with a Toyota Avanza on the N2 between Kei Bridge and Butterworth in the Eastern Cape late on Wednesday afternoon.
The Avanza driver was reportedly decapitated in the horror crash.
Spokesperson, Khuselwa Rantjie, said it was alleged that the Avanza driver had overtaken on a double barrier line, colliding head-on with an oncoming truck.
She said the truck driver died on impact while the Avanza driver’s head was decapitated in the horror smash.
“Two passengers in the truck have been taken to hospital in a serious condition,” she said.
Such is the life of a truck driver, even when you are driving safely and minding your own business you are still in grave danger. Rest in peace trucker.
