Two truck drivers have lost their lives after their trucks collided head-on on the N11 near Dannhauser between Ladysmith and Newcastle on Friday morning.
The two trucks, a side tipper interlink and another pulling a flat deck trailer collided head-on killing both drivers
KZN Transport confirmed in a Tweet that both drivers perished in the horrific crash.
RTI Dundee and SAPS Dannhauser was on the scene of the crash which happened at the 31.6 peg on the N11 just before midday.
Authorities had to implement a stop and go to allow vehicles past the scene as one of the trucks blocked traffic.
At this stage, the cause of the accident is not known, however authorities were on the scene to investigate.
There is a motor vehicle accident on the N11-3 M/ Board 31,6 Ladysmith to Newcastle. 2x HMV head on collision with 2x blue codes on scene.
