Controversial ATDF-ASA Figure, Lungisa Toyi, Shot Dead in Eastern Cape

Lungisa Toyi, a well-known and controversial figure within the All Truck Drivers Forum and Allied South Africa (ATDF-ASA), has reportedly been shot dead in his KwaMasingatha home near Qonce, Eastern Cape.

The tragic incident occurred around 20h30 on Thursday night, according to a source close to the family.

The source mentioned that Toyi’s partner heard gunshots outside their home.

Toyi also trended on truckers social groups after he allegedly targeted truck drivers who were transporting passengers on the N10 in Eastern Cape and threatened to report them to their employers if they didn’t pay a bribe.

His actions earned him a notorious reputation, making him a trending topic on in truck driver circles.
