Did the Truck or Polo Cross the Line? Serious Cape Town Crash Caught on Dashcam!

A VW Polo crashed into a Scania truck on a bend in Cape Town yesterday, with dramatic dashcam footage capturing the moment of impact.

The video, shot from a bakkie following the Polo, shows the small car approaching the curve at high speed while the truck navigates the bend from the opposite direction.

As the Polo rounds the bend, it appears the driver struggles to keep control, drifting towards the centre of the road. The collision happens when the Polo strikes the front wheels of the truck’s trailer, right on the solid line in the middle of the road.
