Driver killed in Limpopo truck crash

A truck driver was killed when his truck overturned on the R528 in Georges Valley between Tzaneen and Haenertsburg in Limpopo.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 10h49 to find the truck lying on its roof, blocking part of the road.

A load of bricks that had been on the back of the truck were now spread across the scene.

Upon closer inspection, paramedics discovered the body of a man lying trapped inside the cab of the truck.

Rescue Services had to use specialized equipment to free the man from the vehicle.

Once freed, paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life.

Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
