Capetown- The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is going to continue to engage robustly in Parliament. The EFF leader Julius Malema said this after the Western Cape High Court dismissed the case of National Council of Provinces (NCOP) application against him for statements made in Parliament.
The case was brought forward by Thandi Modise after Malema said in June 2014 that “the ANC government massacred the people in Marikana”.
Speaking on SAfm’s PM Live Malema says the High Court’s ruling is significant for the protection of freedom of speech. He says the ruling is a failure to the African National Congress’ attempt to curtail freedom of speech.
“So they are trying by all means to silence any voice of reason so they can continue to mess up and continue to kill our people without anyone having to say to them directly ‘you are a group of murderers”
