A serious crash has occurred on the N2 between Mbonambi and the Eteza Weighbridge in northern KwaZulu-Natal at around 05h45 this morning.
Initial reports from the scene indicate that a tow truck and a light motor vehicle (LMV) were involved in the collision.
Tragically, three fatalities have been reported at the scene, with one person reportedly trapped in a vehicle. Emergency responders are still arriving, with three additional patients currently reported as being critically injured.
The crash has left debris and bodies scattered across the roadway, and motorists are urged to approach the scene with extreme caution.
All emergency services are required at the scene, with further resources reportedly being dispatched.
