Cape Town – FAW Trucks Southern Africa has officially opened a new branch in Cape Town, marking another step in the company’s effort to strengthen its presence in the Western Cape and improve service delivery to its growing customer base.
Located at 28 Karee Street in Kraaifontein Industria, the new facility was unveiled during a launch event attended by customers, dealer partners, and FAW’s senior management team. The occasion highlighted the brand’s continued growth in South Africa and its focus on long-term relationships built around dependable trucks and strong after-sales support.
FAW Cape Town Dealer Principal, Vernon Rudman, acknowledged the effort behind the move to the new premises and thanked the team and partners for their support. “From the old place to the new place… Thank you for the help in moving from the past, opening today for the new, and driving to the future,” Rudman said.
Ricqui Alexander, National Aftersales Manager, spoke about the brand’s push for service innovation, mentioning tools such as the breakout app that enables 24/7 customer support. “Our goal is to empower agents and ensure operators get seamless assistance whenever they need it,” he said.

FAW Southern Africa Executive Director Richard Leiter reflected on the brand’s 30-year journey in the region, pointing out that FAW’s success lies in affordability, reliability, and strong aftersales service. He introduced Mr Huang, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, describing him as a dynamic leader with experience from global markets.
Huang highlighted FAW’s global reach, with over nine million trucks sold internationally, and reiterated the brand’s commitment to bringing innovative, customer-driven products to South Africa.
Long-time customer Nicol Heyns, Managing Director of the Portland Group, shared how the company’s 15-year partnership with FAW has grown to include more than 100 mixers and several JH6 models. He praised the trucks’ reliability in demanding local operations.
The opening event also offered guests a glimpse of upcoming model variants, signalling FAW’s continued investment in local market needs.
According to Leiter, the new branch represents more than just new premises: “This opening is a renewed pledge to our customers in the Western Cape. Together, we continue to power dreams, drive success, and build lasting partnerships.”
