A fifth victim from the vehicle was found lying under a Mercedes Benz Actros truck.

According to a witness, the light motor vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed from KwaMashu towards Avoca Hills.

The driver allegedly failed to negotiate a bend, causing the car to collide with a metal barrier.

The impact sent the car airborne, landing it in the contra flow lane.
