Several trucks linked to Izusa Carriers are set to go on auction next month as part of a major commercial vehicle auction featuring truck tractors, trailers, rigid trucks and transport equipment from across South Africa.
The auction has sparked interest among transport operators and truck dealers after multiple high-value fleet assets associated with Izusa Carriers appeared in the catalogue released by Park Village Auctions.
At this stage, it remains unclear who instructed the sale of the Izusa-linked vehicles or under what circumstances the assets are being auctioned. No official confirmation has been issued regarding whether the trucks are part of liquidation proceedings, repossessions, business rescue processes or another form of asset disposal.
The auction is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 4 June at 11am through a national simulcast auction running online and across auction depots in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, the Free State and the Eastern Cape.
Among the headline units listed are several MAN TGS truck tractors, including TGS 26.440, 27.480 and 33.480 models. The catalogue also includes Afrit tautliner and side tipper link trailers, which are expected to attract strong demand from fleet operators and transport contractors.
Other commercial vehicle brands featured in the sale include Mercedes-Benz Actros truck tractors, Iveco Stralis units, Hino 300 and 500 series trucks, Isuzu FTR and FSR models, as well as Toyota Dyna trucks and Hyundai commercial vehicles.
The trailer section includes several Afrit side tippers and tautliners alongside Henred Fruehauf curtain side and tri-axle trailers. MAK Bodies, Piet Retief Body Builders and Leader Trailer Bodies units also form part of the inventory.
In addition to trucks and trailers, the auction will feature forklifts, construction equipment, compressors and light delivery vehicles.
The appearance of Izusa Carriers-linked trucks at auction comes at a time when many transport operators across South Africa continue to face mounting financial pressure from rising diesel prices, maintenance costs, insurance increases and weak freight conditions.

Truck auctions involving major fleet operators often attract attention across the industry, particularly when premium long-haul equipment enters the second-hand market in large volumes.
Physical viewing of the assets will take place on Wednesday, 3 June from 9am to 4pm at auction sites in Johannesburg, Durban, Bloemfontein and Gqeberha.
At the time of publication, no public statement had been issued by Izusa Carriers regarding the auctioned assets.
