Four Killed as Fuel Tanker Rear-Ends Bus on N1 South Near Pienaars River – video

Pienaars River – A horrific accident on the N1 South between Pienaarsrivier and the Maubane off-ramp has claimed the lives of four people after a fuel tanker collided with a fully laden bus in the early hours of the morning.

According to reports, the tanker rear-ended the bus, which was parked on the emergency lane. The impact caused a fire to break out on the truck, but fortunately, the tanker was empty at the time of the crash.

The bus was carrying passengers from Zimbabwe, many of whom suffered moderate injuries. A total of nine patients, including the truck driver, were transported to Bela Bela Hospital for treatment.

The bus driver escaped unharmed.
