In a cutthroat industry where many transporters scrape just to keep one rig rolling, 34-year-old Eurico Stork is flipping the script – with 17 trucks and counting, all built up from just one Hino 700 bought in 2019.

Eurico’s story doesn’t start behind the wheel – it starts under it.
He started as a wide-eyed apprentice technician at Hino Pietermaritzburg in 2014, eventually working his way up to workshop supervisor.
While he was fixing other people’s trucks, he was quietly planning how to one day run his own fleet.
In 2019, Eurico resigned and established his own transport company – JKK Transport.
That first truck – a Hino 700 – came courtesy of Hino Financial Services, and he worked it hard.
The long nights, tight margins, and constant pressure didn’t scare him.
Instead, they fuelled him. By applying his technical know-how and a no-nonsense attitude, Eurico made sure his rig was always road-ready and earning.

Fast-forward five years and his empire now includes EJS Transport, with a fleet that boasts 13 Hino trucks and a few other brands in the mix.
These machines haul perishables on demanding long-haul routes between Durban, Johannesburg, and Cape Town.
What sets Eurico apart? He treats fleet maintenance like religion – dealer servicing only, genuine parts, extended warranties across the board.
It’s this laser focus on reliability that keeps his wheels turning and his customers happy.
“From my school days, I wanted to get into the technical side of the automotive industry, and the fact that I now own my own fleet of trucks is a dream come true,” Eurico Stork says.
