Jabula truck driver killed after crashing into truck making a U-turn on N2 in Mtubatuba

A truck driver for Jabula Plant Hire was killed in a collision with another truck on the N2 at Mtubatuba on Wednesday night.

It is alleged that the Jabula Plant Hire side tipper truck was driving on N2 north when it collided into sugarcane truck which was allegedly attempting to make a U-turn.

The Jabula driver was seriously entrapped upon collision.

Mtubaba Fire attended to the accident on N2 north between Hulhluwe and Mtubatuba at Mfekai around 19h30 on Wednesday evening.

They arrived to find the driver severely entrapped and non-responsive.

He was sadly declared deceased on the scene.
