✅ Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- At least 2 years’ FMCG driving and sales experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Good numeracy and customer service skills
🛠️ Job Responsibilities:
📦 Stock & Delivery Duties:
- Load and deliver bread and confectionery to customers (traders and retail chains)
- Ensure stock matches order sheets and maintain quality control
- Return all crates and handle stock shortages professionally
- Transport personnel, equipment, and assist during breakdowns if needed
💵 Sales & Transactional Duties:
- Sell products directly to customers, often for cash
- Handle and safeguard cash, complete invoices, and perform accurate cash-ups
- Secure new customers and promote product deals on route
👕 Presentation & Vehicle Maintenance:
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of delivery vehicle
- Wear required PPE and ensure vehicle safety standards are met
- Report faults, arrange for repairs, and comply with OHS standards
👥 Van Assistant Supervision:
- Supervise van assistant, ensure proper conduct and appearance
- Train and support van assistant as per company standards
📊 Product & Competitor Insights:
- Collect feedback on competitor products and customer trends
- Provide reports to assist the business in improving customer service
🕒 Work Schedule:
- Required to work weekends, public holidays, and overtime
- May be on standby to cover absenteeism
