Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and professional Code 14 Drivers to join our Consumer Division under the Astral – Goldi contract in Standerton. This role is ideal for an experienced long-distance and heavy-load driver with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance with transport legislation.

Minimum Requirements:

✅ Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
✅ Valid Code EC (Code 14) driver’s license with a current PrDP
✅ Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating ultra-heavy commercial vehicles
✅ Proven experience driving Superlink, Interlink, or other heavy-duty combinations
✅ Knowledge of defensive driving techniques and safe cargo handling
✅ Must have own reliable transport to and from work
✅ Must be medically fit to handle long-haul driving duties
✅ Clear criminal record
✅ Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips

• Operate ultra-heavy trucks for local and long-distance transportation

• Perform loading, transportation, and offloading duties with care and precision

• Handle all delivery paperwork accurately and in a timely manner

• Maintain a high level of vehicle cleanliness and upkeep

• Adhere to all SOPs, safety protocols, and company transport policies

• Work closely with supervisors and logistics staff to ensure timely deliveries

• Follow proper emergency and defect reporting procedures

• Remain flexible to changing schedules, including night shifts or weekend work

• Complete and pass the following requirements:

  • Medical and fitness assessments

  • USCS training modules

  • Company induction programme

  • On-road practical driving test

  • Criminal background check
