GH Transport is looking for experienced Code 14 Cross-Border Long-Distance Truck Drivers to join their growing team. If you have tanker experience, a strong safety record, and are committed to professional service, we want to hear from you.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid South African ID
- Valid Code 14 driver’s licence
- Valid Dangerous Goods (DGP) certificate
- Must be over 25 years of age
- Minimum 3 years’ tanker transport experience
- Clean driving record with no serious accidents or driving offences in the past 3 years
- Minimum Grade 10, Grade 12 will be an advantage
- Able to obtain a blasting licence in relevant African countries
- No criminal record
- Fully vaccinated
- South African citizen
Advantage:
- Afrox affiliated training and work experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport dangerous goods safely across South Africa and neighbouring countries
- Complete all transport documentation accurately
- Comply with road traffic, dangerous goods, health and safety, and border regulations
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects
- Ensure loads are secured and delivered safely and on time
- Maintain professional communication with controllers and customers
- Report accidents, incidents, breakdowns, and vehicle defects immediately
- Assist with loading, off-loading, shunting, and trailer coupling where required
- Follow approved routes and company policies at all times
- Monitor fuel usage and maintain company equipment
- Be available for operational communication via cellphone when required
General mechanical knowledge will be an added advantage.
