KZN Scholars Injured In Collision

Five scholars and the driver of a taxi were injured following a collision near Oakford in Verulam this afternoon.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to the scene after receiving several calls from passing motorists reporting the collision. Upon arrival a Toyota Hiace and a Hyundai Sonata were found to have collided into each other.

The injured were treated on scene before being transported to hospital.
It is alleged that the taxi was travelling from Verulam and turning into Oakford when it collided with the Hyundai Sonata which was travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Hyundai was not injured in the collision.
