Looters Ransack Truck as Bodies Lay Scattered on N2 After Horror Crash That Killed 7 Learners

In a shocking display of disregard for human life, a video has surfaced showing looters pouncing on a truck involved in a fatal crash on the N2 near Mandeni, where eight people, including seven high school learners, tragically lost their lives on Friday morning.

The accident, described as a scene of “total carnage” by IPSS Medical Rescue’s Samantha Meyrick, occurred when a Toyota Avanza carrying the learners collided head-on with a truck.

The driver of the Avanza also perished in the crash, leaving only the truck driver critically injured.

While emergency services worked to secure the scene and recover the bodies, the video shows a disturbing image: looters raiding the truck’s cargo, ignoring the sight of lifeless bodies scattered across the freeway.

The truck driver lay there critically wounded, yet the group of looters continued to focus on the goods inside the truck, seemingly indifferent to the tragedy unfolding around them.

The N2 was closed in both directions to allow emergency services to attend to the scene and begin the grim task of accounting for all the victims.

No official comment has been made yet on the looting, but the video has sparked outrage across social media, with many calling for the looters to be arrested and held accountable for their actions.
