N10 Closed After Serious Side Tipper Truck Crash Between Middelburg and Noupoort

The N10 between Middelburg and Noupoort in the Eastern Cape has been closed to traffic following a serious truck crash that occurred shortly before 14h45 this afternoon.

A single side tipper truck was involved in the crash and ended up blocking the entire roadway, causing significant traffic disruptions in both directions. The exact cause of the accident is still unknown at this stage.

According to fellow truckers at the scene, by 17h50 traffic heading towards Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) had started moving slowly past the scene, but northbound traffic remains completely backed up, with vehicles gridlocked for kilometres.

Fortunately, the driver of the truck sustained only minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Emergency services and recovery teams have been dispatched to clear the wreckage and restore the flow of traffic.
