N2 NEAR AIRPORT IN CAPE TOWN CLOSED DUE TO VIOLENT PROTEST ACTION bus

CAPE TOWN – Law enforcement has been deployed to the N2 highway near the airport in Cape Town to deal with protests that flared up earlier this evening.

It’s understood the road has been barricaded in both directions with burning tyres and rubble.

There are also reports that a bus has been torched.

Law enforcement spokesperson Jacques Mostert says, “The N2 is closed due to protest action and a burning bus at the airport, direction approaching Cape Town. All emergency services are on the scene to monitor the situation.”
