At around midday on Saturday afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision on the N2 North near the Kwa Mashu off ramp. Exact detail to the cause of the crash is still speculative and will form part of the police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the truck had overturned after impact; the roadway was obstructed with debris and the twisted frames of the vehicles consistent with that of a high impact collision. After the injured were examined it was found that one person sustained serious injuries while three others escaped with minor injuries.

Medics stabilised the injured at the scene before transporting them to a local hospital for the care that required.
