Nine people lost their lives in a devastating crash involving a minibus taxi and a truck in the early hours of Friday morning on the route between Potchefstroom and Parys.
According to preliminary information, the taxi was travelling from Potchefstroom towards Parys when the collision occurred. The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation.
Authorities confirmed that seven men, one woman, and a child believed to be between the ages of 10 and 14 were declared dead at the scene.
