Owner-driver and fellow trucker killed in tragic N7 crash near Bothasig

A tragic crash on the N7 near Bothasig in Cape Town has claimed the lives of an owner-driver and a fellow trucker after their truck collided with a bridge on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Rodric Zenda, an owner-driver originally from Zimbabwe. He was travelling with a fellow trucker and friend, whose identity has not been revealed, when the fatal crash occurred.

Emergency services responded to the scene following reports that a truck had struck a bridge along the busy route. Sadly, both men sustained fatal injuries in the collision and were declared dead at the scene.

According to a source familiar with the incident, the tanker truck involved in the crash was empty at the time. The two men were reportedly on their way to load when the tragic accident occurred.
