PETITION BY CONCERNED ZIMBABWEAN TRUCK DRIVERS IN SOUTH AFRICA TO MINISTER OF HOME AFFAIRS HONOURABLE MR MALUSI GIGABA

We the undersigned, respectfully as concerned Zimbabwean Truck Drivers working in South Africa request a review on the criteria used for issuing of worker’s permits to accomodate most of our colleagues who continue to immensely contribute to the economy but did not benefit from the special permit programme conducted in 2010.

Since we are willing to continue contributing to the South African economy, we kindly request your office to consider formulating a special type of a permit to cater solely for Zimbabweans involved in the trucking industry.

Therefore we call upon your ministry to enact legislation granting full recognition of the contribution we make to the industry by fostering a legal way of stay and sustenance in the rainbow nation.

We look forward to a positive response from your office and appreciate all efforts that have been made in legalising our stay in the rainbow nation and we can never thank you enough.[/bg_collapse] [sg_popup id=11]
