Huddlestone Logistics truck driver, Bernard Groenewald, who was hospitalized after being petrol bombed in Touws River on 3 June 2019 has sadly passed on.
He was 50 years old.
Groenewald sustained 3rd degree burn wounds in the larger part of his body after he was petrol bombed by unknown assailants.
Circumstances are that Groenewald’s truck petrol bombed when he was resting on the N1.
He ran away from the burning truck but the attackers chased him and threw a petrol bomb on directly on him.
He sustained serious burn wounds on 60% of his body.

Groenewald sadly lost the fight to live this afternoon, he is survived by his wife.
