WITBANK – A rollback truck driver miraculously escaped injury in a dramatic crash on the N12 near Witbank this evening.
The collision occurred just before the Kendal off-ramp towards Witbank.
Witnesses report that the rollback driver was busy loading a bakkie onto his truck when another bakkie, parked behind the one being loaded, was struck by a side tipper truck.
The impact caused the parked bakkie to hit the one being loaded, sending it flying over the rollback. It smashed into the cab, leaving it completely flattened.
Photos from the scene reveal the devastating aftermath, with the cab crushed under the force of the impact.
Amazingly, both the rollback and side tipper drivers walked away uninjured.
The cause of the crash remains unclear at this stage, and authorities are investigating.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution in the area as cleanup operations continue.
