A Durban trucker is lucky to be alive after his truck allegedly switched off while he was coming down M7 after the Bellville offramp, Durban.
The serious single vehicle crash happened on Saturday morning.
It has been reported that after the truck switched off, the driver lost control and the truck crashed into the thick forest.
“It’s not only the trucker who was lucky, that stretch of the M7 has had several truck accidents which caused casualties to other motorists.
If the truck did not leave the road, it definitely would have crashed into other vehicles at the N2 interchange,” said one of the recovery crew speaking to SA Trucker.
The truck driver was not injured in the accident. The reefer container, truck and trailer were severely damaged in the accident.
