Durban – One person has been killed and approximately others injured in a horrific accident involving six cars and three trucks on the M7 Durban Bound before Bellville Offramp around 8 am this morning.
Reports from the scene indicate that multiple vehicles including a tanker and construction truck were involved in a collision resulting in the vehicles bursting into flames.
Fire and Rescue Services, South African Police Services, Rescue Technicians and Paramedics all rushed to the scene to assist.
At least six people had sustained moderate injuries, two patients had sustained serious injuries and sadly an adult male believed to be the driver of one of the trucks was declared deceased on the scene.
Two Medical helicopters had airlifted the two seriously injured patients to the hospital.
The freeway remains closed whilst SAPS investigates the accident.
