Pics: Two burn to death in Oxygen tanker head-on crash with car on N17

Two people were burnt beyond recognition when their car collided head-on with an Oxygen tanker truck on the N17 highway on Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened between Wit Road/Springs and Endicott/ Nigel Offramps leading to the total closure of the highway to allow emergency services to attend to the scene.

Upon colliding, the sedan car caught alight trapping the driver and his passenger burning them to death.

The truck and the oxygen tanker also caught alight but the driver managed to escape with minor injuries.
