Pics: Two Injured in Serious Truck Collision on A1 Highway in Botswana

A serious accident involving two Scania trucks near the Tashy Royal Gardens turn on the A1 highway in Botswana left two people injured on Friday afternoon.

According to reports, the crash occurred when a cement truck from Lobatse attempted to overtake a Mazda Demio.

The driver allegedly lost control and veered into the path of an oncoming truck carrying pallets from Gaborone.

The collision was intense, leaving both vehicles significantly damaged.

A pedestrian who was hitchhiking nearby and the driver of the Gaborone truck suffered injuries in the collision.

Emergency services arrived promptly to attend to the injured parties.

The pedestrian and truck driver were transported to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment. Their conditions are currently unknown.

The authorities are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the crash.
