Motorists travelling on the N3 were held up in a massive traffic backlog following a collision between two trucks in the early hours of Thursday morning.
SA Trucker received reports of the crash at 03h20 stating that two had collided causing a total road blockade.
“There is no passage even for a small car,” one trucker reported.
The crash happened about 5km from Harrismith towards Durban.
Both drivers were injured and they were transferred to hospital.
The cause of the accident is not known at this stage, however, authorities were on scene to investigate further.
By 07h22, the scene was still being cleared but authorities implemented contra-flow for the northbound traffic which stretched for kilometres from the scene.
