Police have launched a renewed manhunt for Mfanafuthi Kubheka, a man wanted in connection with the brutal 2020 Christmas Day murder of his wife, Tshepiso Mosia, in Rooikopen, Standerton.
He is now believed to be working as a truck driver operating in and around Delmas.
According to local NPO Team Ngenelela 8303, Tshepiso had spent Christmas Day with Kubheka at their home.
After a minor argument, she left and went to her parents’ house, where she decided to spend the night.
Tragically, that decision would cost her life.
She was alone at the time, as her sister was out at a nearby tavern.
Upon returning home the next morning, the sister found the front door forced open.
Inside, she discovered Tshepiso lying in bed with her throat slit.
Shockingly, Kubheka allegedly called one of Tshepiso’s relatives and confessed to the murder before vanishing without a trace.
The case went cold until recently.

A tip-off received by Team Ngenelela suggests that Kubheka may now be working as a truck driver and is frequently seen in the Delmas area.
Sources close to the investigation revealed that his appearance has changed significantly.
He no longer shaves, sports a full beard, and may not resemble the photos circulated shortly after the incident.
Police have urged the trucking community and members of the public to come forward with any information.
“He could be hiding in plain sight behind the wheel of a truck,” said a Team Ngenelela 8303 spokesperson.
