Political party saves the day for underpaid drivers

Political party EFF has been flooded with requests from truck drivers and many other workers after they successfully negotiated a deal for Port Elizabeth truck drivers who have for long been paid peanuts.

Code 14 truck drivers at Lamavuso Transport have allegedly been paid a monthly basic salary of R2 400.00 instead of the gazzetted R10 186.10.

Drivers who spoke to SA Trucker on condition their names would not be published said they had tried unions but suspect corruption got on their way and nothing materialised.

One EFF supporter amongst the drivers then suggested to engage the party and according to him, they didn’t disappoint.

EFF then posted on their Facebook page about the success. The post has been liked over 1 400times and the majority of comments are from aggrieved employees from different sectors who wish the party could fight their wars for them.

Power of EFF-JTG we are happy to report to you that EFF won its fight on the side of Drivers/workers against Lamavuso…
