Traffic has been brought to a complete standstill on the R81 highway between Munnik and Ga-Sekgopo this afternoon following a serious crash involving two trucks and a minibus taxi.
The collision, which happened at around 15h10, is believed to have occurred when a truck rammed into the back of a minibus taxi, forcing it to slam into another truck in front.
Early reports from the scene indicate that several occupants were trapped inside the vehicles, although the full extent of injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Law enforcement officials are currently on-site managing traffic and cordoning off the crash scene, while Emergency Medical Services have been dispatched and are expected to treat and transport the injured.

Authorities have urged motorists travelling through the area to proceed with caution, anticipate heavy delays, and use alternative routes where possible as the road remains closed to traffic.
