All Truck Drivers Foundation (ATDF) is a group of local South African truck drivers advocating for 100% employment of locals. the group was founded by Sipho Zungu who hails from KZN, which is also the stronghold of the group.
ATDF has been in the news for its campaign against the employment of foreign nationals, claiming that there are enough unemployed drivers to take over the jobs being done by the immigrant drivers.
With the law protecting the foreign drivers, ATDF resorted to violence as they allegedly burnt several trucks at Mooi River.
The truck violence spread to all corners of South Africa as trucks were torched in Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg.
