A quick-thinking truck driver and swift action by JAG security members prevented a potential hijacking on the N3 Toll at Mariannhill toll gate last night.
While JAG members were on duty at a nearby musical festival, they received an urgent alert about a truck in the process of being hijacked on the N3. Wasting no time, all available members were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, the JAG team, along with law enforcement officers, quickly located the truck. They found a suspect on the diesel tank attempting to tamper with the vehicle. The suspect, who was in possession of a hammer and side cutters, was promptly apprehended.
Further inspection of the truck revealed several bullet holes, indicating that the driver had been under fire during the hijacking attempt.
