A truck driver has been seriously injured after his diesel tanker truck overturned on Tuesday morning, 22 October 2024, along the N3 near Mooi River.
According to a report from Midlands EMS, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene where the truck had veered off the road and rolled several times.
The driver, who was trapped inside the wreckage, suffered severe injuries and required immediate advanced life support treatment on-site.
Midlands EMS teams worked swiftly to stabilise the injured driver before transporting him to a Level 1 trauma hospital for further medical attention.
The condition of the patient remains unknown at this stage.

Authorities are still on the scene, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution while travelling through the affected stretch of the N3.
