A horrific crash on the N2 between Port Shepstone and Harding has claimed the lives of three people this Friday morning. The accident occurred near the Nqabeni turnoff and involved a bakkie and a heavy motor vehicle (HMV).
According to Road Angels SA, all three occupants of the bakkie died on the scene after being entrapped in the wreckage.
The truck driver escaped unharmed. Emergency teams from Trauma 911 responded to the crash around 07:12, confirming the fatalities and working to clear the scene.
At this stage, the cause of the crash remains unknown, but early reports suggest the impact was severe enough to completely crush the bakkie. Authorities are urging motorists travelling along the N2 South Coast to approach the area with caution as recovery operations are still underway.

Traffic is being diverted around the crash site, and officials have warned of delays in both directions.
