Three Dead in N4 Truck and Car Head-on Crash Outside Mbombela

Three people have sadly lost their lives in a horrific head-on collision between an articulated truck and a VW Polo on the N4 between Matsulu and Mbombela near Gorge in Mpumalanga early this morning.

According to emergency services, one other person who was travelling in the VW Polo sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital for urgent medical care.

Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety spokesperson, Moeti Mmusi, confirmed that emergency personnel are still attending to the crash scene. A stop-and-go traffic system has been put in place to manage congestion as recovery operations continue.
