N3 truck accident with taxi Camperdown

Three people have been injured in an accident involving a truck and a minibus taxi on the N3 Durban bound carriageway in Camperdown on Saturday morning.

ER24 reported that a 51-year-old woman suffered serious injuries while the other two, both male adults, suffered minor injuries in the collision.

ER24 paramedics were on the scene at 07:28 along with the Fire Department, PMB Fire & Rescue and other private emergency services.

The taxi was found partially squashed under the right side of the truck’s trailer. The 51-year-old lady, who was a passenger aboard the taxi, had already been helped from the wreak.

She was treated with Advanced Life Support interventions before being transported to a private hospital for further care.

The two adult men were treated for minor injuries and transported to Northdale Hospital for further care. The South African Police Services were also on the scene for further investigations.

The cause of the accident is not known at this stage, however, authorities were on the scene to investigate.
