A tow truck driver has tragically lost his life after a serious crash on the P147 in Nottingham Road on Sunday.
Midlands EMS K9 Unit, together with Midlands EMS crews, rushed to the scene following reports of a badly damaged tow truck. On arrival, paramedics discovered the vehicle had sustained extensive damage in the crash.
The driver, who was the only occupant, was found outside the wreck in a critical condition. Advanced life support and resuscitation were immediately initiated, but despite the best efforts of paramedics, the man sadly succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
Local authorities attended and have launched an investigation into the circumstances that led to the crash.

In a statement, Midlands EMS extended heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, saying their thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
