Transporters Wanted! BHL Seeks 300 Trucks to Handle Record Demand

With a major upswing in volumes moving through the Port of Walvis Bay, BHL Group is urgently seeking transporters to meet escalating demand for cargo movement into the hinterland.

The regional logistics heavyweight has put out a call for 300 additional trucks to help handle 100,000 tonnes of cargo over the next three months.

Buks Jansen van Rensburg, the founder and CEO of Buks Haulage Limited, announced the need for added capacity on social media, stating:

“We need 300 additional trucks to move product between Walvis Bay and Zambia.”

The company has confirmed the availability of backloads, creating a potentially profitable opportunity for transporters seeking consistent hauls in both directions.

Reliable industry sources along the Copperbelt report a surge in mining-related cargo and bulk liquids like sulphur entering through the deepwater port, fueling the demand for BHL’s services.

Additionally, Walvis Bay Corridor Group has noted an increase in fertiliser imports destined for Zambia via Walvis Bay, highlighting a growing opportunity for transporters.

BHL is inviting transport companies with trucks registered in Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, or Zimbabwe to join in handling this increased demand.
