About 15km before Warden and late Tuesday afternoon a collision happened between a truck and a bakkie. Two people, both the drivers, died at the scene.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene, found the north, and south bound fast lanes obstructed with accident debris and the twisted frames of the vehicles that had come to rest about 50 metres apart.
After the injured was examined it was found that the driver of the bakkie and the driver of the truck had tragically died on impact. The passenger of the bakkie was in a serious condition while the passenger from the truck escaped with minor injuries but refused treatment.
Paramedics treated the seriously injured man at the scene before he was transported to a nearby hospital for the care that he required.
