Truck Driver Dies After Being Trapped for 6 Hours in George Overturn Crash

A tragic accident on the N9 between George and Uniondale resulted in the death of a truck driver after being trapped underneath his overturned vehicle for six hours early Subday morning.

The accident occurred around 4 am when the truck overturned, ejecting the driver from the cab.

The vehicle tragically landed on top of him, pinning him beneath its weight.

The co-driver managed to escape the crash unscathed.

After his rescue, the driver was rushed to the nearest hospital in Uniondale.

Due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to Tygerberg Hospital.

Sadly, he passed away en route.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
