GA-SEKORORO – A horse and trailer truck was hijacked on the R36 near Ga-Sekororo on Friday, 02 May 2025, in a brazen attack that left the driver stranded and shaken.
According to initial reports, the driver had stopped along the route to buy food when he was suddenly ambushed by suspects.
The hijackers wasted no time, immediately tampering with the truck and taking off with it.
The driver was later dropped off along the R521 in Buysdorp and is currently at the South African Police Service (SAPS) opening a case.
Registration number Lk92SS Gp Scania with two Trailers HKB236L and HKB237L was hijacked at R36 road sekororo side Tzaanee area, and they dump the driver on R521 road under MaraSaps area. We are busy opening the case docket”captain Sepaela Mara said.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has knowledge of the truck’s whereabouts to come forward.
