Truck driver killed in N3 truck crash at Ashburton

A tanker trucker died and three other people sustained minor injuries when two trucks collided on the N3 at Asburton last night.

The accident happened around 20h00 on the N3 towards Durban just outside Pietermaritzburg.

When emergency services arrived they found that two trucks had collided.

Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that three patients sustained minor injuries.

Sadly one patient sustained fatal injuries and succumbed to their injuries before emergency services arrived.

The patients were treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment.

The cause of the crash is not known at this stage.
